Lahore DC Orders Expediting Verification Of Kite-making Licences

Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Muhammad Ali Ejaz has directed that the verification process for kite-manufacturing licences be accelerated to ensure safety during the Basant 2027 cultural event.
According to the district administration, the registration process for kite-manufacturing licences commenced on September 5, with all assistant commissioners mobilised to conduct field verifications of manufacturers.
The DC has instructed assistant commissioners to promptly complete the scrutiny of manufacturers’ credentials and inspection of their premises. Licences will only be issued to those manufacturers meeting all legal requirements and prescribed standards.
Ali Ejaz emphasised complete transparency and merit in the licensing process, stating no manufacturer would be allowed to compromise on established standards. He warned of strict action against those producing illegal materials. The district administration will take all necessary measures to provide a safe recreational environment for citizens and ensure the safety of the Basant 2027 cultural event.
