Large Police Contingent Outside Homes of Dr Uzma and Nooreen Niazi
A heavy police contingent was deployed outside the residences of Dr Uzma Khan and Nooreen Niazi in Lahore immediately after the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, under the 3-MPO.
Anchorperson Rai Saqib Kharal, sharing details on social media platform X, revealed that a large number of police personnel were still present outside the residences, with strict barricading set up on both sides of the road leading to them.
He further stated that after media representatives covered a press conference by Aleema Khan’s lawyers and sister, police personnel at the site repeatedly pressured reporters and camera crews to leave, claiming that the press conference had ended.
The anchorperson expressed concern that the manner in which police surrounded the area and removed journalists created a clear impression that the government and Lahore Police's next targets were Dr Uzma Khan and Nooreen Niazi, potentially leading to their arrest or detention soon.
