Law Minister Pays Tribute to Armed Forces, Martyrs, and Ghazis on Defence and Martyrs’ Day
Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, on the occasion of Defence and Martyrs’ Day, paid tribute to Pakistan’s Armed Forces, martyrs, and ghazis. He stated that September 6 is a memorable day in national history, when the nation stood united with its Armed Forces, reaffirming its commitment to defend the motherland and protect national sovereignty.
In a statement, the Federal Minister highlighted the courage and bravery demonstrated by Pakistan’s Armed Forces during the 1965 war. He emphasized that the sacrifices of the martyrs and the valour of the ghazis remain an indelible chapter in the country's history. Tarar also expressed his reverence for the families of the martyrs, acknowledging their sacrifices and steadfastness.
He praised the current military leadership and Pakistan’s Armed Forces for their professionalism and commitment to defending the country. The Minister noted that Pakistan is a peace-loving nation advocating for dialogue and diplomatic solutions in the region. However, he emphasized national unity, democratic values, the rule of law, and strong institutions as the foundations for Pakistan's development and stability.
Tarar drew inspiration from the martyrs' sacrifices, encouraging everyone to contribute to building a prosperous and stable Pakistan. He concluded by praying for the elevation of the martyrs' ranks, safety for the ghazis, and progress, prosperity, peace, and stability for the country.
