Lawyers' Community Stands Firmly With Armed Forces, Pays Tribute To Martyrs On Defence Day

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Sep, 2026) District Bar Association President Sajid Awan and General Secretary Qamar-ul-Haq Khan Niazi Advocate have paid tribute to Pakistan’s armed forces and security personnel for their sacrifices in defending the country’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
In a joint statement issued on the occasion of Defence Day, they said the nation could never forget the unforgettable sacrifices of its brave martyrs and veterans. They described September 6 as a bright and unforgettable chapter in Pakistan’s history, recalling the courage of those who laid down their lives to defend the country and foil the enemy’s designs.
They noted that the Pak Armed Forces demonstrated exceptional courage, determination, bravery, and professional capabilities during the 1965 war, a legacy that would remain a proud part of the nation’s history.
Sajid Awan and Qamar-ul-Haq Khan Niazi highlighted that security forces had also made countless sacrifices in maintaining peace and combating terrorism. They added that the entire nation acknowledges these sacrifices and stands with the families of the martyrs.
According to them, Defence Day is not merely a reminder of past sacrifices but also an opportunity to renew national resolve to work collectively for Pakistan’s security, stability, development, and prosperity. They emphasized the importance of national unity and solidarity in strengthening and advancing Pakistan.
The District Bar Association president and general secretary pledged that the lawyers' community would continue contributing positively towards building a strong democratic and legal system in the country. They also offered prayers for the elevation of Pakistan’s martyrs and for the security, stability, peace, and prosperity of the nation.
