Justice Amjad Pervez recused himself, stating that he had previously appeared as a lawyer in the case in his personal capacity.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Oct, 2026) The Lahore High Court adjourned without proceedings the hearing of a petition filed by former prime minister Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, seeking details of cases registered against her.

The bench, comprising Chief Justice Ms. Aalia Neelum and Justice Amjad Pervez, heard the petition filed by Bushra Bibi. Advocate Asif Shehzad Sahi appeared on behalf of the petitioner.

Justice Amjad Pervez stated that he could not participate in the hearing as he had previously represented the case in his personal capacity.

The court subsequently referred the petition to the registrar's office for assignment to another bench.

The petition names the National Accountability Bureau, the inspectors general of police of all four provinces, and others as respondents. It argues that the petitioner is a law-abiding citizen of Pakistan and that cases are being registered against her husband, former prime minister Imran Khan, solely due to his political status. The petition further alleges that despite requests, details of the cases have not been provided, violating the Constitution of Pakistan.

It requests the court to direct all respondents to provide details of cases registered after June 22, 2023.
