LRC Official Arrested For Passing Fake Mutation – UrduPoint

DERA GHAZI KHAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th Aug, 2026) The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Dera Ghazi Khan Region has arrested a Sub-Circle Officer (SCO) of the Land Record Centre (LRC), Muzaffargarh, for his alleged involvement in passing a bogus mutation.

According to ACE officials, the accused, Ghulam Murtaza, nominated in case No. 56/26 registered at the ACE Headquarters Police Station, Dera Ghazi Khan, was arrested in accordance with the law by Circle Officer Headquarters Shehzad Gul. The arrest was made on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and under the supervision of Director General Anti-Corruption Punjab Sohail Zafar Chattha and Regional Director Anti-Corruption Dera Ghazi Khan Region Malik Zia-ul-Haq.

ACE officials stated that the accused allegedly passed a fake mutation in the land record, leading to legal action and the registration of a case against him.

ACE Dera Ghazi Khan Region Superintendent and Focal Person Shamsher Khan Gormani said the department was continuing legal action against elements involved in corrupt practices as per the directions of the Punjab Chief Minister and senior ACE authorities. He emphasized that corruption is a serious menace, and the Anti-Corruption Establishment would persist with legal action until the root of the problem is eliminated.

Further legal proceedings against the arrested accused are underway, the officials added.
