Malik Abrar Pays Glowing Tribute to Martyrs, National Heroes on Sept 6
Rawalpindi, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 06, 2026) Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Cabinet Division, Malik Abrar Ahmed, on Sunday paid glowing tributes to the martyrs and national heroes on the occasion of Defence and Martyrs Day, describing September 6 as a day to renew the pledge of loyalty to the motherland.
In his commemorative message, Malik Abrar stated that when the enemy launched a cowardly, unprovoked assault against Pakistan's territorial integrity backed by hundreds of tanks on September 6, 1965, the nation's armed forces and people mounted a valiant, befitting response that stunned the aggressor.
He noted: "Those who dreamt of having breakfast in Lahore were made to bite the dust on the battlefield by our gallant forces."
Paying rich tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives in defense of the country, he remarked that the nation salutes the supreme sacrifices of its heroes who thwarted the enemy's nefarious designs. He added that on this historic day, the brave falcons of the Pak Armed Forces shattered the opponent's pride and demonstrated unparalleled valor.
Reaffirming the national resolve, Malik Abrar emphasized that no sacrifice would be spared for the survival, sovereignty, and integrity of the country.
