Man Arrested In Torture Case
LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 23rd Aug, 2026) Police registered a case and arrested the main accused in an alleged illegal detention and torture incident reported in the Gajjumata area of Kahna.
According to police, the case was registered on the complaint of a citizen, who alleged that he was forcibly taken to a rooftop and subjected to physical assault with sticks and belts.
DIG Operations said the nominated accused, Shahzad alias Kaka, had been arrested and handed over to the Investigation Wing for further legal proceedings and investigation. Police teams were conducting raids to apprehend other suspects nominated in the case, while further action will be taken in accordance with the findings of the investigation.
