Manchester City Sign Allan from Palmeiras for £34m

BBC Sport reports that Manchester City have signed winger Allan Elias from Palmeiras in a deal worth up to £34.2m.

City has paid an initial £32m plus £2.2m in add-ons for the 22-year-old Brazilian, who has signed a five-year contract. Allan is set to replace his compatriot Savio, who joined Tottenham Hotspur last week for £75m.

Allan, who scored nine goals and provided 12 assists in 96 appearances for Palmeiras, expressed his excitement:

"This is a surreal moment for me. Manchester City, with everything they have won over the past 15 years, are one of the most attractive clubs in the world for players. To be able to sit here today and say I have joined them is the proudest moment of my life."

Enzo Maresca's squad has been actively strengthened this summer, with significant investments in players like Elliot Anderson (£116m), Ayyoub Bouaddi (£85.6m), and potential moves for Cody Gakpo (Liverpool) and Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea). While City have sold key players such as Rodri (£65m to Barcelona), Tijani Reijnders (£52m to Al-Qadsiah), Nico Gonzalez, James Trafford, and Omar Marmoush (loan to Tottenham with an obligation to buy for £60m).
