Man Held For Assaulting Wife, Children
UrduPoint (3rd Sep, 2026) reports that the Pakistani police arrested a man in Lahore on Thursday for allegedly subjecting his wife and children to violence.
According to a spokesperson for DIG Operations, Muhammad Ali was arrested after his wife filed a complaint, alleging physical abuse and threats to kill. The incident also resulted in an injury to their 13-month-old child's foot.
Police registered a case against Ali under Section 354 of the Pakistan Penal Code based on the woman’s complaint and are investigating all aspects of the case. Lahore Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Operations, Faisal Kamran, emphasized that domestic violence is unacceptable and directed efforts to protect women and children at all costs.
