Meghan to Co-Host Junior MasterChef Australia

BBC News reports that the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan, has been confirmed as a co-host of the new season of Junior MasterChef Australia. She will join Poh Ling Yeow as a "special guest" according to Australia's Channel 10.

Meghan expressed her enthusiasm, stating she "can't wait" to participate in the program, following her guest judging appearance on MasterChef Australia last year, which attracted the show's largest Sunday audience since 2023.

This announcement comes amidst increased scrutiny of Meghan due to allegations made against her father, Thomas Markle, of child sexual abuse. He denies these accusations.

Meghan's return to Australia is significant, as it follows a four-day tour of the country she undertook with Prince Harry in April. Her MasterChef debut was revealed during this tour, and it was reported that she filmed an episode.

"I love cooking with my own kids, so seeing what these young stars create in the kitchen is going to be a lot of fun," Meghan stated in a press release.

In August, the Sussexes moved back to the UK from California, where they had settled after stepping back from their royal duties in 2020. They have since embarked on media careers, including a high-profile interview with Oprah Winfrey and deals with Netflix and Spotify.

Meghan's lifestyle and cookery show With Love, Meghan on Netflix had two series and a Christmas special but underperformed. She also launched As Ever, a lifestyle brand with a food range, but ended its partnership with Netflix in March.

Last year, Meghan registered her trademark in Australia for various product categories, including cookware and table linen.
