LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Sep, 2026) Punjab Minister for Labour and Human Resource Muhammad Manshaullah Butt formally launched the mobile application “Kapas Ki Pukar”, developed specifically for workers and farmers engaged in cotton fields.
The application, described as the first digital initiative of its kind for agricultural workers and farmers in cotton-producing areas, will enable workers to register complaints and report their issues directly through the mobile platform.
Addressing the launching ceremony, the provincial minister said the application would help ensure that the voices of workers, particularly those working in remote areas and women workers, reached the relevant authorities for timely action. He stated that empowering workers through modern technology and establishing an effective mechanism for resolving their issues was an important need of the time.
Manshaullah Butt highlighted the following:
- In line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, comprehensive measures are being taken to protect workers’ rights, provide them with facilities, promote dignified employment, and strengthen social protection.
- He congratulated the Pakistan United Workers Federation, relevant trade unions, workers’ representatives, and the entire project team on the initiative.
The minister expressed hope that “Kapas Ki Pukar” would help strengthen coordination among workers, trade unions, and government institutions and contribute to the effective and timely resolution of workers’ complaints.
