Mirpurkhas Gears Up For Anti-Polio Campaign

Divisional Commissioner Mirpurkhas Shahmeer Khan Bhutto has emphasized the importance of effective training for polio teams to ensure the success of the upcoming anti-polio campaign. He made these remarks while presiding over a meeting of the Divisional Task Force on Polio, held at the Commissioner Committee Hall on Thursday.
The meeting reviewed arrangements for the campaign scheduled from September 21 to 24, during which oral polio vaccine drops will be administered to 884,467 children aged 0-5 years across 18 tehsils and 215 union councils in three districts of Mirpurkhas Division.

Participation of 196 Union Council Medical Officers (UCMOs), 742 Area In-charges, 298 Transit Teams, 192 Fixed Teams, 6,608 mobile Teams, and 8,036 Lady Health Workers.

The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner-I Subhash Chandar, Deputy Commissioner Nawab Sameer Hussain Laghari, Regional Director PPHI Mazhar Veesar, District Health Officer Mirpurkhas Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Assistant Commissioner General Ali Nawaz Samoon, District Manager PPHI Shehbaz Ali, and other relevant officers.
