Deputy Commissioner Torghar Dr. Yasir Imran has inaugurated a mobile computer lab van aimed at providing modern digital education facilities to students of government schools in remote areas of the district.
The mobile computer lab was launched at Government High School Shagai during a ceremony attended by Deputy District Education Officer Torghar Shams-ur-Rehman, Assistant Commissioner Judba Fazal-ur-Rehman, Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Yasir Israr, teachers, students, and other officials.
Dr. Yasir Imran and two students formally inaugurated the facility, highlighting the district administration’s focus on empowering young people through technology. He interacted with students, discussed their academic activities, and encouraged them to develop digital skills to meet the demands of a changing world.
He stated that information technology and digital education are essential for development, and the district administration is committed to ensuring equal access to modern educational opportunities for students in remote Torghar.
Under this initiative, the mobile computer lab will visit various government schools across the district, conducting practical training and awareness sessions. Students will learn basic computer operations, digital technology, effective internet use, and modern educational resources.
Dr. Yasir Imran emphasized that this initiative is a significant part of the “Digital Torghar” vision, aiming to connect children across the district with modern technology, equip them with essential digital skills, and prepare them to become confident and capable citizens. He assured that the administration would continue launching initiatives to promote education and provide improved learning opportunities for students in Torghar.
