BBC North West Tonight presented Molly Brewer was about to deliver her weather forecast when Peter Kay unexpectedly joined her on screen. This impromptu appearance mirrored his previous famous interruption of Dianne Oxberry’s weather segment in 2011.
Kay’s sudden entry, reminiscent of his iconic moment declaring Oxberry "made it sunshine for everybody," came as he was promoting a one-off show at Blackpool’s Opera House to raise funds for Fin Cormack, a 19-year-old from Prenton, Merseyside, who requires vital heart treatment in the United States.
