MPA Sadia Javed and BISP Chairperson Inaugurate 18th Sartiun Sang Crafts Exhibition
KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Sep, 2026) Spokesperson to the Sindh Government and Member Provincial Assembly (MPA), Sadia Javed and Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme, Senator Rubina Khalid jointly inaugurated the three-day 18th Sartyoon Sang Crafts Exhibition here on Friday.
The exhibition, organized by Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) in collaboration with the Sindh Government, showcased the work of thousands of rural women artisans from across Sindh. They praised the Sindh Government's efforts to empower rural women and promote Sindh's handicrafts. They emphasized the need to provide market access to local artisans and promote cultural heritage.
Raheema Panhwar, Aijaz Qureshi, and others were also present on the occasion.
The exhibition featured over 5,000 products, including textiles, baskets, jewelry, and traditional clothing, showcasing Sindh's rich cultural heritage.
Chief Executive Officer SRSO, Muhammad Dittal Kalhoro, stated that the exhibition aimed to facilitate better income opportunities for rural women artisans. SRSO has established business Development Groups (BDGs) in operational districts, training over 15,000 women members in crafts skills.
Rural Women Artisans from different districts of Sindh including Badin, Ghotki, Jaccobabad, Kashmore- Kandhkot, Khairpur, Larkana, Matiari, Mirpurkhas, Noshehro Feroz, Qambar Shahdakot, Sanghar, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Thatta, and Umerkot showcased their products.
The exhibition will continue till Sunday September 6, till late night.
