MPA Saqib Chadhar, His Wife Withdraw Interim Bail In Momina Iqbal Harassment Case
LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Sep, 2026) A sessions court on Thursday disposed of pre-arrest interim bail petitions of MPA Saqib Chadhar and his wife, Sameera, after they withdrew their pleas in a case involving alleged harassment of actress Momina Iqbal.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Nusrat Siddiqui heard the bail petitions. During the proceedings, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) submitted its report, stating that the investigation could be reopened if deemed necessary. However, the agency said there was currently no requirement for immediate arrest of the accused.
In light of the NCCIA report, Saqib Chadhar and his wife withdrew their pre-arrest bail petitions. The court subsequently disposed of the petitions as withdrawn.
The NCCIA had registered a case against Saqib Chadhar over allegations of harassment of actress Momina Iqbal under various provisions of Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act.
