Naib Tehsildar Arrested for Taking Bribe
SARGODHA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – September 11, 2026) The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Sargodha arrested a Naib Tehsildar for allegedly receiving a Rs30,000 bribe during a raid at his court in Sahiwal tehsil on Friday.
According to ACE officials, Deputy Director ACE Sargodha Tasawar Abbas Bosal conducted the raid in the presence of Magistrate Atif Bhatti. The team recovered marked currency notes from the accused.
The complainant, Abu-ul-Hasan Kazmi, had alleged that Muhammad Bakhsh Bharath demanded Rs600,000 in connection with an appeal pending before the Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue (ADCR). He further alleged that the accused had earlier received Rs935,000 in connection with a partition case and was demanding an additional amount for submitting a statement in the complainant’s favour.
The ACE team arrested the accused while he was allegedly accepting Rs30,000. A case was registered against him, and he was shifted to the ACE Sargodha lock-up. A court subsequently granted the ACE three-day physical remand of the accused. Further investigation was underway.
