Nation Pays Tribute To Martyrs, Ghazis And Defenders On Defense Day: Qasmi

Chairman Ulema Council Pakistan (UCP) Sahibzada Zahid Mahmood Qasmi said that September 06 would forever stand as a powerful symbol of national unity and sacrifice when Pakistan's armed forces, backed by an unwavering nation, wrote glorious chapters of courage and devotion to the defense of motherland that would remain etched in history.
In a statement issued on the occasion of Defense Day of Pakistan, he said that the entire nation paid tribute to the martyrs, defenders, and Ghazis of the country who had thwarted the nefarious designs and arrogance of an unscrupulous enemy through their courage, determination, and supreme sacrifices.
Sahibzada Zahid Qasmi also honored brave mothers of the nation who considered the security and sovereignty of Pakistan dearer than lives of their sons, stating that their sacrifices represented an unforgettable chapter in the country's history.
He recalled that September 06, 1965, witnessed an outstanding display of national solidarity when the entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder with Pak armed forces like an impregnable wall (Bunyan-um-Marsoos) for defense of the homeland.
He emphasized the need to familiarize young generations with the achievements and sacrifices of national heroes, martyrs, and guardians of the homeland so that the spirit of patriotism, courage, and national service could be carried forward by future generations.
Qasmi added that the sacrifices of national martyrs and Ghazis should continue to inspire the nation to remain united, disciplined, and committed to the security, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan.
