Nawan Shehr Police Arrest Drug Dealer, Recover 3.01 Kg Hashish
Abbottabad, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 22nd Aug, 2026) Nawan Shehr Police have arrested an alleged drug dealer and recovered 3.01 kilograms of hashish from his possession during a crackdown against drug peddlers and criminal elements here on Saturday.
According to police, the operation was conducted on the directives of Abbottabad District Police Officer Haroon Rashid and under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Cantt Division and Deputy Superintendent of Police Mirpur Circle.
Station House Officer Nawan Shehr Police Station, Cadet Qamar Shehzad, arrested the suspect, identified as Asim alias Asimi, son of Muhammad Afser, a resident of Kohsar Town, Elias, during routine patrolling.
Police stated that 3,010 grams of high-quality hashish were recovered from the accused and taken into custody. A case has been registered against him, and he has been arrested and sent to jail.
Nawan Shehr Police asserted that operations against drug dealers and other criminal elements would continue with greater effectiveness.
