UrduPoint (August 24, 2026) - National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Lahore has arrested a man from Rahim Yar Khan for allegedly blackmailing foreign women using their photographs and personal information.

The accused, identified as Muhammad Salman, is said to have gained unauthorized access to the private data of women living in houses where he worked abroad. He used this information, including gossamer photographs, to blackmail them for monetary gains.

According to NCCIA, Salman sent threatening messages to his victims demanding money and promising to share their photos and personal details on social media or with their family members if they did not comply. A team from NCCIA Lahore arrested him upon recovering a mobile phone and SIM card from his possession.

A case has been registered against Salman, and further investigation is underway. NCCIA Punjab Director Muhammad Ali Wasim emphasized the agency's commitment to tackling cyber blackmailing and harassment of women. He also vowed continued action against those misusing fake photographs and personal information.
