An NHS trust has publicly apologised to the family of Noah Woods after a data breach of his medical records. The trust, East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, has launched an urgent investigation and promised disciplinary action where necessary.

"...any unauthorised access of patient data is completely unacceptable," said Dr Martin Mansfield, deputy chief medical officer at the trust.

The data breach was reported to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), and the trust has assured Noah's family that they will be kept updated as the investigation progresses.
