Nikah Registrar Held For Taking Bribe In Lodhran
UrduPoint (28 September, 2026) - The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Multan region arrested a Nikah Registrar while receiving a bribe of Rs15,000 during a raid in Lodhran on Monday.
The operation was led by Circle Officer ACE Lodhran Ali Hassan under the supervision of Regional Director Basharat Nabi and Judicial Magistrate. The accused, Zulfiqar Ahmed, was caught taking the bribe for registering the Nikah (marriage contract) of Allah Ditta's cousin.
ACE spokesperson confirmed the recovery of marked currency from the accused and his subsequent arrest in accordance with legal procedure. A case has been registered against him, and further investigations are underway.
