Nishtar Hospital Steps Up Emergency Readiness With Large-scale Fire Drill
Nishtar Hospital conducted a large-scale fire safety drill in collaboration with Rescue 1122 on August 30, 2026, to ensure the safety of patients, doctors, paramedics, and other staff during emergencies. Doctors, paramedical staff, and hospital employees actively participated in the exercise.
Rescue 1122 personnel provided detailed training on emergency response procedures, including:
- Disconnecting electricity supply
- Activating fire alarms
- Evacuating the hospital through safe routes
- Rescuing patients during a fire
Participants also received practical demonstrations on using fire extinguishers and were briefed on various operating methods for such equipment.
The hospital administration stated that these drills aim to ensure a swift and effective response to emergencies, preventing any unfortunate incidents.
