Issuing Production Orders and Legal Matters
The Federal Law Minister, Azam Nazeer Tarar, addressed the National Assembly session, stating there are no discrepancies between the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the government regarding bills. He emphasized that bills are discussed with coalition parties before cabinet consideration.
Tarar noted that a light-hearted exchange is essential in parliamentary politics. He discussed the Speaker's authority in issuing production orders for sensitive matters, citing several instances. He also mentioned that the Speaker exercises discretion in cases involving multiple orders, besides detention.
Junaid Akbar's Case
Regarding Junaid Akbar’s case, Tarar informed that it is pending before the Peshawar High Court. He assured that further action will be taken according to the court's decision.
