NSICTR To Be Made Functional On Time: Secy
Secretary Health Punjab Azmat Mahmood on Wednesday visited the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research (NSICTR) to review progress on the ongoing construction work.
LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Aug, 2026) Secretary Health inspected the project site and received a detailed briefing from officers regarding construction progress and other activities.
"The Punjab government is constructing the state-of-the-art NSICTR in Lahore at an estimated cost of around Rs75 billion." said Mahmood, adding that the hospital will provide advanced cancer treatment facilities.
He emphasized on ensuring the institute’s functionality within the stipulated timeframe, directing the Infrastructure Development Authority Punjab (IDAP) to expedite work.
