A man has been arrested after police intervened as a taxi travelled the wrong way down a dual carriageway, leading to a cyclist being knocked off their bike and several parked cars damaged.
Officers stopped the vehicle on the A55 on Anglesey on Monday evening, temporarily closing the road while they dealt with the incident. Footage on social media appears to show police pulling over the taxi.
North Wales Police stated that prior to entering the carriageway, a cyclist had been knocked off their bike on London Road in nearby Holyhead, and several vehicles parked alongside the road were also damaged.
The cyclist was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and the arrested man remained in police custody on Tuesday.
While there were no collisions as a result of the taxi's wrong-way journey, the investigation into the incident continues.
