Deputy Mayor Nawabshah Municipal Corporation, Chaudhry Muhammad Mubashir Arain, organized a one-day free medical camp in collaboration with the District Health Officer, aiming to provide basic healthcare facilities to underprivileged and deserving individuals amidst rising inflation.
A large number of citizens, including women and children, attended the camp. Specialist doctors examined patients free of cost and offered necessary medical consultations. Free medicines were also distributed among the patients.
The following facilities were made available at no cost:
- Ultrasound
- X-ray
- Various diagnostic tests
Besides medical check-ups, attendees received awareness regarding early diagnosis and treatment of different diseases.
A significant number of women and children benefited from the camp. Citizens appreciated the initiative, considering it a positive step towards public welfare.
On the occasion, Deputy Mayor Chaudhry Muhammad Mubashir Arain expressed gratitude to the District Health Officer and Health Department for their support. He stated that in the current era of inflation, it has become difficult for low- and middle-income groups to afford medical treatment, making such free medical camps essential.
He added that the primary objective of organizing the camp at his residence was to provide relief by ensuring access to healthcare services near people’s doorstep. He affirmed that the mission of public service would continue, with efforts aimed at organizing similar camps in the future. The Deputy Mayor further emphasized that providing public health facilities is a collective responsibility of society, and with cooperation from government and philanthropists, such initiatives can be expanded to benefit a larger number of people.
Citizens who attended the camp also praised the efforts of Deputy Mayor Chaudhry Muhammad Mubashir Arain and the Health Department, stating that free medical check-ups, medicines, and diagnostic facilities provided significant relief, especially to poor and deserving families.
