Operation Launched Against Construction Material On Roads
The district administration has launched a comprehensive operation against the placement of construction material, debris and other obstructions on roads, public places and rights-of-way (Dera Ismail Khan, 24 Aug, 2026).
This initiative is in response to a public notice issued under Section 12 of the Civil Administration Act, 2020, which prohibits such encroachments. Teams have cleared several key roads, including Dial Road, Grid Road and Circular Road. Construction material from government departments and debris left by private contractors and individuals were all removed.
Dr. Muhammad Hamid Siddiq, Assistant Commissioner, supervised the operation, emphasizing the need to keep public passageways free of obstructions. He warned against placing construction materials or debris on roads, threatening strict legal action if violations occur.
The goal is to ensure safe traffic flow, facilitate citizen movement and minimize accident risks associated with construction material on roads.
