Meet HoloVerse 3D Technology
The Reno16 boasts Pakistan's first-ever 3D design using HoloVerse technology. Tilt the Pop White edition, and a miniature cosmos shifts with you, playing with light to create the illusion of depth. This innovative design is inspired by over a century-old concept, first envisioned in 1908, and made possible through OPPO's technological advancements.
The science behind it involves millions of microscopic lenses under the back cover, each holding a tiny sliver of a 3D planet. The complexity lies in ensuring every lens is unique; any misalignment as thin as a hair could ruin the effect. Achieving perfection required seven rounds of trial and error, with early prototypes having only a 1% success rate.
Design and Features
The Reno16 exudes a seamless, one-piece back design, flowing directly into the camera without seams or dust traps. It measures 6.32 inches for easy single-hand use, encased in an aerospace-grade aluminum frame. The Reno16 F is slightly larger at 6.57 inches, catering to those who love scrolling and streaming.
Choose from Pop White, Twilight Violet, or Dream Purple to match your mood. OPPO has also introduced the OPPO Bubble, a magnetic sidekick that clips onto your case. This tiny device serves as:
- A live selfie monitor for better framing.
- A remote shutter up to 10 meters away.
- A customizable display with photos, animations, and colors of your choice.
