Pakistan’s Defence In Strong Hands, Sept 6 Symbol Of National Courage: PMML

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Sep, 2026) The leaders of the Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML) have stated that Pakistan’s defence is in strong hands and September 6 remains a symbol of the courage, determination, and resilience of the Pakistani nation.
In a joint statement issued on Saturday, PMML President Khalid Masood Sindhu, Secretary General Saifullah Kasuri, Vice-Presidents Hafiz Talha Saeed and Hafiz Abdul Rauf, Joint Secretary Muhammad Yaqoob Sheikh, Deputy Secretary General Khalid Naik Gujjar, Central Spokesperson Dr Muzammil Iqbal Hashmi, Khidmat-e-Khalq President Chaudhry Shafeequr Rehman Warraich, and Muslim Youth League President Tabish Qayyum expressed their views.
They highlighted that the spirit displayed by the Pakistani nation during the 1965 war is still alive, with the people of Pakistan standing resolutely alongside their armed forces for the defence and security of the country. According to them, the nation and its armed forces united against the enemy's challenges during the 1965 war.
The PMML leaders paid heartfelt tribute to the martyrs, war veterans, and all those who served in the defence of the motherland, emphasizing that their sacrifices would continue to inspire future generations. They affirmed that Pakistan’s security, sovereignty, and ideological identity would be defended at all costs. National unity and solidarity, they added, are crucial in countering terrorism and other challenges facing the country.
The leaders encouraged the younger generation to shun despair and negative thinking, instead utilizing their abilities and potential for Pakistan’s development and progress. They stressed the importance of countering hostile propaganda through awareness, unity, and truth as a collective national responsibility.
The PMML leadership emphasized that the spirit of Defence Day serves as a reminder that a united nation, backed by strong armed forces, can overcome every challenge and safeguard the country’s sovereignty and integrity.
