Pakistan Business Delegation Heads to Rwanda for Economic Partnership

Pakistan business delegation is setting sail to Rwanda, as the latter pushes for stronger economic ties with Pakistan. This visit, scheduled from September 23rd to 25th, culminates in the Rwanda-Pakistan Investment Forum. The announcement was made during a press conference hosted by the Rwanda High Commission in Pakistan.

High Commissioner of Rwanda to Pakistan, H.E. Harerimana Fatou, called for enhanced economic and investment relations between the nations, focusing on trade, investment, technology, manufacturing, and business partnerships. She emphasized that Pakistan's businesses should view Rwanda not only as a growing market but also as a strategic base for expansion into Africa.

The High Commissioner highlighted Rwanda's investor-friendly environment, including the Rwanda Development Board's one-stop investment services, visa-on-arrival for over 90 countries, and tax incentives. She further stressed Rwanda’s interest in technology transfer and closer business cooperation with Pakistan. A bilateral trade agreement, she suggested, would strengthen the framework for trade and investment between the two nations.

Ambassador Hamid Asghar Khan, Patron-in-Chief of the Pakistan Africa Economic Council (PAEC), echoed these sentiments. He noted that East African economies, particularly Rwanda, are becoming increasingly attractive to international investors. He listed Rwanda's advantages: security, stability, skilled workforce, competitive business environment, land availability, and low energy costs—all potential goldmines for Pakistani investors.
