Pakistan-China cooperation holds immense potential in the realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI), as highlighted by People's Republic of China Consul General in Lahore, Sun Yan. He emphasized that AI is not merely a technological advancement but a transformative force shaping education, industry, and humanity's future.

Addressing the Launch of MAYA AI At the launching ceremony for Pakistan's first AI tutor, MAYA AI, developed by the University of South Asia (USA), Sun Yan shared China's perspective on AI development. He stressed that it should be people-centred, safe, inclusive, and beneficial to all nations.

Strengthening Cooperation

Sun Yan saw great potential for collaboration between Pakistan and China in AI, particularly in education, agriculture, healthcare, and innovation. He encouraged young Pakistanis to embrace AI, foster innovation, and contribute to building a brighter future for both nations.

Remarks by Higher Education Officials

Chairman HEC, Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, who attended as the chief guest, agreed that AI is rapidly transforming the world. He expressed HEC's commitment to integrating AI into academic curricula and equipping students and faculty with relevant skills for the future. Akhtar emphasized the need for universities to move beyond conventional teaching methods and promote research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and practical applications of emerging technologies.

Chairman PHEC, Dr. Iqrar Ahmad, concurred, highlighting PHEC's commitment to promoting innovation, research, and modern skills in higher education. He viewed the launch of MAYA AI as a supportive tool for Punjab's education system and congratulated the University of South Asia on organizing the initiative.

These models aim to support students and provide AI solutions for various sectors in the local market.
