Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, DG ISPR:
Pakistan has a clear and comprehensive strategy to counter terrorism, which includes eliminating terrorists and their facilitators operating inside the country.
He stated that the strategy also targets terrorism facilitators inside Pakistan, with Afghanistan serving as the primary base for attacks.
He further highlighted:

Incompetent and indifferent provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a factor facilitating terrorism.

Conducting around 200 intelligence-based operations daily against terrorists.

Afghanistan as the primary base for terrorist activities against Pakistan.

The need to address certain internal factors contributing to terrorism.
Security Situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:
Security forces are conducting intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in the province rather than large-scale military operations.
Counterterrorism Experience:
Pakistan has accumulated extensive counterterrorism experience over the past 20 years, unmatched by any other country or military.
People of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:
He paid tribute to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, describing them as courageous and an integral part of Pakistani society.
Political Matter:
Regarding the removal of the provincial government, he stated it was a political matter better addressed by politicians. However, he confirmed that the change of government had occurred in accordance with constitutional and legal procedures.
Terrorist Activities in Balochistan:
Terrorist groups, acting at the behest of their handlers, are trying to undermine development and infrastructure projects in Balochistan.
