Pakistan Cricket Club Win Master Oil Inter-Club Cricket Tournament

Pakistan Cricket Club emerged victorious in the Master Oil Inter-Club Cricket Tournament, defeating Alamgir Gymkhana by a substantial 109 runs in the final at KCCA Stadium.

Game Summary:

Pakistan Cricket Club, batting first, compiled a total of 299 for six wickets in their 40 overs. Umair Bin Yousuf led the charge with a brilliant knock of 98 runs, studded with seven fours and three sixes, while Jahanzeb Sultan contributed 88 runs with five fours and six sixes. Khawaja Muhammad Nafay added 40, and Rameez Aziz ended unbeaten on 33.

Alamgir Gymkhana’s bowlers, Muhammad Yaqoob and Abdul Hayee, each took three wickets.

In response, Alamgir Gymkhana were all out for 190 runs in their allotted 40 overs. Adeel Meo top-scored with 39, Muhammad Yaqoob contributed 30, Usman Raheem made 28, and Habibullah added 22.

Jahanzeb Sultan and Muhammad Asghar each took three wickets for Pakistan Cricket Club.

Tournament Details:

Organized by the Regional Cricket Association Karachi (RCAK) in partnership with Master Oil, this tournament is notable for featuring 237 club teams from various zones across Karachi.

Tabish Javed, RCAK Vice President, emphasized the association’s record-breaking effort in hosting the city’s largest club cricket tournament. He attributed this achievement to the vision of RCAK President Nadeem Umar, who aims to conduct numerous club cricket tournaments in Karachi, providing players with ample opportunities to hone their skills.

Javed expressed gratitude to Master Oil for their support in promoting club cricket, assuring continued partnership at both regional and zonal levels.

RCAK Vice President Syed Muhammad Talha praised the successful organization of the event, crediting the tournament committee. He also announced that Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana Ground is now available for regional cricket tournaments.

Khalid Nafees, Chairman of the RCAK Tournament Committee, highlighted the consistent organization of club cricket tournaments across Karachi under the leadership of Nadeem Umar. He emphasized the association’s commitment to providing ample opportunities to players and clubs throughout the city.

Muhammad Touseef Siddiqui, RCAK Joint Secretary, thanked participating clubs, organizers, and officials for their collaboration in the successful conduct of the tournament involving 237 teams.

Prize Distribution:

At the ceremony, Tabish Javed presented the winner’s trophy and a prize of Rs200,000 to Pakistan Cricket Club captain Rameez Aziz. The runners-up trophy and Rs100,000 were awarded to Alamgir Gymkhana captain Kashif Ali.

Fazal Subhan was recognized as the best batsman, Nadir Shah as the best bowler, and Umair Bin Yousuf received an award for his performance in the final. Dr Arif Hafeez was honored with the Media Coordinator Award.

RCAK assistant secretaries Muhammad Ali Naqvi, Zafar Ahmad, and Rehan Siddiqui, along with numerous zone officials and players, attended the ceremony.
