Pakistan Ulema Council Condemns Balochistan Attack, States Terrorists Have No Link To Islam Or Balochistan
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Sep, 2026) Chairperson of the Pakistan Ulema Council and Coordinator of the National Paigham-e-Aman Committee, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, has strongly condemned the recent attack on Pakistan’s security personnel in Balochistan, stating that the sacrifices of the country’s armed forces and security institutions will ultimately lead to lasting peace and stability.
Ashrafi noted that Pakistan's armed forces, police, and security agencies are bravely serving in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and other regions to safeguard the nation, its people, and territorial integrity. He emphasized that according to Islamic teachings, defending the country’s borders and securing the lives of citizens is a noble and sacred duty, and those who fulfill this role deserve highest respect and recognition.
Condemning the killing of security personnel in Balochistan, Ashrafi stated that attackers not only targeted Pakistani forces but also allegedly desecrated and burned the bodies of martyrs, describing it as a grave violation of human dignity and Islamic values. He stressed that Islam strictly prohibits the defilement of human corpses, especially in times of armed conflict, referring to Quranic teachings regarding proper burial practices to highlight Islam's reverence for the dead.
Ashrafi characterized those involved in such acts as having no connection with Islam, humanity, or the people of Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He labeled them as tools employed by forces aiming to destabilize Pakistan. He drew parallels to past violent acts committed by Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan, who targeted mosques, civilians, armed forces, and security institutions without regard for human life.
The Pakistan Ulema Council chairman praised the sacrifices of Pakistan's security institutions in the fight against terrorism and extremism, assuring continued defense of the country despite challenges. He attributed recent developments to Pakistan’s growing global standing following its successes in Marka-e-Haq, leading hostile forces to intensify their attempts to destabilize the nation.
Ashrafi expressed confidence that these efforts would fail and that the martyrs' blood would not be shed in vain. He stated that the people of Pakistan remain united against terrorism and extremism, and he was sure that peace and stability would prevail, allowing Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to flourish.
