Riyadh police have arrested four foreign nationals, including a Pakistani citizen, for allegedly violating environmental regulations.

RIYADH (Al-Sabq) - Specialized environmental protection forces arrested the four individuals in the Riyadh region for extracting natural resources without a license, in violation of environmental regulations. The suspects are from Pakistan, Egypt, and Yemen.

Authorities seized four units of heavy machinery used for excavating and transporting soil.

Legal proceedings have been initiated against the violators, who were referred to the relevant authorities for further investigation and the imposition of prescribed legal penalties.

Specialized environmental protection forces have urged all citizens and residents to report any activity that could harm the environment or wildlife. They assured the public that all reports would be handled with complete confidentiality and no liability would be imposed on the person making a report.

It is worth noting that Saudi authorities had announced the arrest the previous day of a Bangladeshi national residing in Madinah, accused of violating environmental regulations (Sadi).
