Parents Appeal for University Bus Route in Khanewal (UrduPoint)
MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Sep, 2026)
Parents of students commuting daily from Khanewal to Multan for university, medical college, and technology college studies have appealed to the authorities to introduce a university bus service. In a joint appeal, individuals like Muhammad Saleem, Shafie, Falak Shaira, and Muhammad Nawaz urged Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) Vice Chancellor, Multan Commissioner Amir Karim Khan, and Khanewal Deputy Commissioner Hina Arshad to arrange the service, specifically for female students.
They proposed a route from Sahu Chowk via Bakhtawar Amin Hospital. Highlighting the financial strain on families during rising inflation, the parents argued that a subsidized bus service would ease travel costs, enable students to access government facilities, and support their pursuit of higher education.
