Parking Contractor’s Employee Held for Overcharging
UrduPoint (September 07, 2026) – Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Multan Region arrested a parking contractor’s employee red-handed while charging parking fees above the government-approved rates, using fake tickets at Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) hospital Dunyapur.
The action was taken on Monday under the supervision of Regional Director ACE Multan Basharat Nabi. A team led by ACE Lodhran Circle Officer Ali Hassan conducted the trap raid under the supervision of a Judicial Magistrate.
During the raid, Sadaqat Khan, son of Qadir Bakhsh, an employee of contractor Muhammad Nadeem, was caught collecting excessive parking charges through fake tickets in collaboration with officials from the THQ Hospital’s Medical Superintendent (MS) office.
Cash and parking tickets were seized from his possession, and he was taken into custody. According to a complaint filed by Arsalan Saleem, the approved government parking rates at THQ Hospital Dunyapur were Rs10 for motorcycles/rickshaws and Rs20 for cars per entry. However, the contractor’s private staff were charging Rs20 and Rs50 respectively using fake tickets.
A case was registered against the accused.
