Patients evacuated as fire erupts in gynae ward of Khalifa Gul Nawaz Hospital in Bannu

A fire broke out in the gynaecology ward of Khalifa Gul Nawaz Hospital in Bannu on Monday; however, thankfully, all the patients were safely evacuated from the ward.

According to the hospital administration, the Rescue 1122 teams brought the blaze under control after some effort.

Rescue 1122 said a fire emergency team was dispatched immediately after receiving the alert and reached the hospital within approximately five minutes. Rescue operations were launched upon arrival.

It said that skilled firefighters used professional techniques and modern firefighting methods to extinguish the fire after around 10 minutes of operation.

Rescue personnel promptly evacuated all patients from the gynaecology ward to a safe location. Fortunately, no loss of life was reported in the incident.

The hospital administration thanked the Bannu Rescue 1122 team for its prompt response and timely action.
