Patwari Held For Taking Bribe
MUZAFFARGARH, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 22nd Aug, 2026) Anti-Corruption Establishment arrested a patwari red-handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.30,000 from a citizen, here on Saturday.
According to an official source, Muhammad Shoaib, resident of Muradabad, had filed a complaint alleging that Patwari Nadeem Aslam, posted in Muradabad circle, demanded Rs. 30,000 for issuing a green certificate. The complainant further alleged that the patwari had already taken Rs. 20,000 from him earlier.
Instead of paying more, the complainant approached the Anti-Corruption Establishment, which set a trap. Under the supervision of Naveed Hussain, Magistrate Section 30, a team raided the spot and recovered the marked Currency notes from the patwari’s pocket on the complainant’s pointation.
The Anti-Corruption police took the recovered amount into custody, arrested the accused, and registered a case against him. Further investigation was underway.
