PC Extends IESCO EOI Submission Deadline to September 21
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Aug, 2026) The Privatization Commission (PC) has extended the deadline for submission of Expression of Interest (EOI) for private sector participation in the Privatization of Islamabad Electric Supply Company Limited (IESCO).
This extension is to facilitate interested local and international investors and ensure a more competitive and transparent privatization process, as stated in a press release issued by the PC on Saturday.
Under the privatization programme, the government of Pakistan is seeking private sector participation through the acquisition of 51 percent to 100 percent of the share capital, along with management control, in each of the three power distribution companies:
- Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO)
- Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO)
- Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO)
The revised deadline for IESCO's EOI submission is September 21, 2026. The Privatization Commission has clarified that all other terms and conditions of the EOI process remain unchanged.
The extension aims to provide prospective investors additional time to complete their due diligence and submit their EOIs, thus supporting a competitive investor participation process.
The Privatization Commission has encouraged interested parties to obtain further information and access relevant EOI documents through the Commission’s official website.
