P&D KP Reviews Foreign-funded Projects With Partners

Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zaib, co-chaired a joint portfolio review meeting with development partners to assess the progress of foreign-funded development projects across the province.
The meeting, held at the Planning and Development Department, was also attended by Secretary Economic Affairs Division, Muhammad Humair Karim. Major development partners including the World Bank, Saudi Fund for Development and Asian Development Bank participated.
Delegations engaged in a joint discussion covering all projects and sectors. Relevant project teams and departments presented detailed updates on implementation arrangements, current execution status, overall progress, and preparedness of upcoming projects.
Key Focus: Timely achievement of set targets.
Senior officials from the Planning and Development Department also attended the meeting.
Addressing the gathering, Zaib expressed the Department's commitment to regularly reviewing foreign-funded project progress and providing necessary support to development partners and line departments. He appreciated their contribution towards socio-economic development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, highlighting their valuable role in improving people’s lives.
He commended the dedication of project teams and line departments, urging them to expedite ongoing projects while upholding transparency and quality standards. Zaib emphasized the provincial government's high priority for timely completion of development schemes, particularly in merged districts, and pledged to remove any implementation hurdles.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment among all stakeholders to ensure smooth and punctual execution of the development portfolio.
