Peace Essential For Pakistan’s Progress, Prosperity: Minister Salman
LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 21, 2026) Provincial Minister and Chairman of the Cabinet Committee on Law and Order, Khawaja Salman Rafique, on Monday paid tribute to the armed forces and security personnel guarding the country’s borders, police and other law-enforcement agencies, and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for peace.
He stated that Pakistan’s development and progress are rooted in sustainable peace, which remains a fundamental building block of progress and prosperity. Khawaja Salman Rafique emphasized the sacrifices of Pakistan’s martyrs, noting they have saved countless generations and protected the country’s future.
The minister highlighted the International Day of Peace as a reminder to promote tolerance and harmony, adding that, in line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, efforts are underway to eliminate violence, hatred, and extremism. He declared those choosing the path of violence and chaos to be enemies of the country’s progress and prosperity.
