Sergio Perez Signs Multi-Year Extension with Cadillac

BBC Sport reports that Sergio Perez has extended his contract with Cadillac until 2029. The 36-year-old driver, celebrating his 300th Grand Prix start this weekend, joined the American Formula One team last August, marking their debut season.

Perez, a veteran with six Grand Prix wins, shared his thoughts: "Joining Cadillac from day one was a project I truly believed in, and extending my commitment feels like a natural continuation of this chapter." He acknowledged the team's progress and expressed his dedication to the next three years.

Despite a challenging start to his time with Cadillac, with no points scored by either him nor his teammate Valtteri Bottas, Perez's extension underscores the team's long-term vision and his role in its development.

As previously mentioned, Perez's contract was set to expire in two years, but his extended stay signals a show of faith in his abilities to support team mate Max Verstappen in the future.
