PESCO Replaces Free Electricity Facility for Officers With Monthly Cash Allowance - UrduPoint
Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has made a significant change by replacing the free electricity facility available to its officers with a monthly cash allowance. This decision, approved by the PESCO board of directors, took effect from August 1, 2026.
Allowance Structure:
- Grade-17 Officers: Rs15,858 for 450 units.
- Grade-18 Officers: Rs21,996 for 600 units.
- Grade-19 Officers: Rs37,594 for 880 units.
- Grade-20 Officers: Rs46,992 for 1,100 units.
This move effectively ends the free electricity benefit for PESCO officers and introduces a cash-based compensation system.
