Peshawar Administration has undertaken a significant step by demolishing over 450 illegal structures, including shops, markets, and encroachments, along Ring Road and surrounding areas. This operation, initiated under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Afaq Wazir, aims to reclaim government land, enhance traffic flow, and improve commuting facilities for residents.
The targeted areas include Jamil Chowk, Pir Zakori Flyover, Pishtakhara Chowk, and other parts of the Ring Road, where heavy machinery is being utilized to remove the illegal structures. The collaboration between the district administration, Peshawar Development Authority (PDA), and other relevant departments ensures a coordinated effort in this anti-encroachment operation.
Afaq Wazir emphasized the importance of this campaign in improving urban infrastructure, widening roads, and facilitating smoother traffic movement. He assured continued efforts to prevent future encroachments and ensure the land remains free from illegal occupation.
