PFA Fines Two Food Points Rs230,000, Shuts Down Another in Attock
UrduPoint reports that the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) conducted a detailed inspection of three food points on GT Road in Hassan Abdal on the directives of Director General Food Authority Raja Mansoor Ahmed.
The authority imposed heavy fines amounting to Rs230,000 on two food points for violations of food safety regulations, while another food point was immediately shut down due to unsanitary and operational issues. During the inspection, one maund of starch, allegedly used for adulteration in kulfis, was also discarded.
Raja Mansoor Ahmed stated that a crackdown against the adulteration mafia is ongoing across the province to ensure safe and hygienic food for citizens. He encouraged citizens to report any complaints regarding food adulteration or unhygienic practices by contacting the Punjab Food Authority helpline at 1223.
