PFA inspects 47 food outlets in Gujrat

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) conducted inspections at 47 food outlets across Gujrat district on the instructions of Deputy Director Sadia Rafat to ensure adherence to food safety standards.
According to an official statement, improvement notices were issued to 18 food establishments, while four businesses were fined a total of Rs 60,000 for violations. The inspection teams also issued an Emergency Prohibition Order (EPO) and discarded one kilogramme of expired food items.
PFA officials stated that strict enforcement of food safety laws would continue throughout the district to ensure the provision of safe and quality food to the public. They emphasized that no negligence would be tolerated regarding public health.
