PFA Conducts Inspections, Ensures Food Safety Standards in Gujrat
GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Sep, 2026): The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Gujrat recently conducted inspections at 55 food points across the district, ensuring the provision of safe and quality food to citizens, as per the directions of Deputy District Officer Sadia Rafat.
During these inspections, the PFA issued 20 improvement notices and imposed fines totaling Rs81,000 on eight food outlets. Additionally, teams discarded 5.5 kilograms of expired food items found at various food points.
The PFA continues its inspection and enforcement activities, striving to uphold food safety standards and protect citizens from substandard and unsafe food items.
